Katherine Clements (I/the coach) offers coaching and manuscript assessment based on the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before making any payment for services. Payment indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Practicalities  

1. We will mutually agree the start date and duration of our work together. Your coaching package will begin on the date of your first coaching session. All sessions must be taken within the time frame you have selected, i.e. within three or six months from the date of your first coaching session.

2. You (the client) agree to attend all pre-booked meetings. You can reschedule or cancel appointments with 24 hours’ notice. In case of last-minute emergencies, please contact me by email or phone as soon as possible.

3. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice and no-shows to pre-booked appointments will result in that session being forfeit with no refund.

4. Manuscript assessment clients agree to submit work for feedback at least 14 days before their pre-booked feedback meeting. If you don't meet this deadline, your meeting may be postponed.

5. Email and Voxer voice note support between sessions is unlimited for Writing Revolution clients. I aim to respond within 48 hours during office hours, Monday-Friday (except during vacations/national holidays etc.).

Confidentiality & Copyright  

6. All coaching and manuscript assessment sessions are confidential. I will not (unless required to do so by law) either directly or indirectly, use or disclose any information you share with me during your sessions.

7. You must confirm that all written work submitted is original and that you own the copyright and intellectual property in such work.

8. All original work will be treated as confidential and will not be reproduced or shared elsewhere, including specific creative details of that work, such as plot lines or titles.

Payment, Cancellations & Refund Policy  

9. Payment is by credit or debit card. Bank transfers and/or invoices are possible if required. If you need an invoice please contact me directly.

10. Payment is in £ only. You are responsible for calculating exchange rates and/or bank transfer fees.

11. The 14 day cooling-off period as specified in UK legislation applies. After 14 days you may cancel your coaching programme up to 14 days before the date of your first coaching session/manuscript assessment submission deadline (whichever comes first). You will receive a refund minus £25 administration fee. Cancellations on or after 14 days before the date of your first coaching session/manuscript assessment submission deadline (whichever comes first) are non-refundable.

12. No refunds will be given for cancellations caused by the failure of the client to attend coaching sessions or submit work by specified deadlines.

13. If you miss three coaching sessions without notice, I reserve the right to end the working relationship with no refund.

14. If you are up to 30 minutes late to a session then I will go ahead within the booked timeframe. If you are more than 30 minutes late, I reserve the right to cancel that session without a refund.

15. In rare instances, coaching/mentoring may not be the appropriate intervention for a client. In such cases, I will discuss options with you and will always try to reach a satisfactory solution. However, if an appropriate solution cannot be found, I reserve the right to end the working relationship. In this case, a refund will be made at my discretion, proportionate to the number of coaching sessions outstanding. You may withdraw from coaching at any time on the understanding that payment is non-refundable.

No Guarantees or Warranties  

16. You acknowledge that specific coaching results are not guaranteed. You enter into this agreement with the full understanding that Katherine Clements is not liable for any outcomes and that you are responsible for creating your own results.

17. You accept that all written and verbal feedback on written work is provided in good faith but is, ultimately, subjective. I can provide insight, guidance and support while you approach the publication process, but I cannot provide introductions to agents or guarantee publication in any way.

Law and Jurisdiction

18.Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any services purchased through this site, (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by English law and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
